FAQs

At Claremont Club & Spa, we’ve bundled our most popular amenities into a Resort Experience Fee of $50 per room, per day—designed to make every stay more rewarding. This fee, exclusive of taxes, will be conveniently added to your guest folio, giving you access to a collection of experiences and services created to elevate your time with us.

Your Resort Experience Includes:

  • Full access to The Club at the Claremont, featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment, tennis courts, pickleball (with rackets, paddles, and balls), steam, sauna, whirlpool, and three heated year-round pools

  • Daily group fitness classes (up to 75 weekly), including cycling, yoga, boot camp, guided hikes, master swim, and more

  • Fresh-brewed coffee in the lobby daily, 4:00am–6:00am

  • Champagne sabering demonstration with a complimentary tasting daily at 5:00pm in the lobby

  • Three hours of Kids’ Club childcare per family, per day (ages 2+ and potty-trained; advance reservations required at kidsclub@claremontresort.com)

  • Two hours of daily EV charging

  • Complimentary use of BMW bicycles (based on availability)

  • Access to digital newspapers, magazines, and eBooks via the PressReader App

  • Guided trail navigation through the RunGo App

  • Three Sages Wellness yoga & meditation programs, available on guest room TVs and in our garden meditation areas

  • Little Lending Library – “take a book or share a book” on Sunset Terrace and the Tennis Lawn

  • Seasonal outdoor games on the Front Lawn and classic board games in the Lobby Lounge

Guests must be registered at the time of reservation or upon check-in. The number of registered guests per room is limited to the maximum occupancy of the room. Age restrictions may apply.

Our wheelchair-accessible rooms are thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and convenience for guests with physical challenges. Each space meets full ADA standards, providing ease of access without compromising on style or relaxation.

We know pets are part of the family, and we’re delighted to make them feel at home during your stay at the Claremont Club & Spa. To ensure the comfort of all our guests, we kindly ask pet parents to review and sign our Pet Policy Disclaimer upon arrival.

Service Animals

  • ADA-trained service dogs are always welcome at no additional cost.

  • California ADA permits trained service dogs and trained psychiatric service dogs in all public spaces, but not emotional support animals.

  • Please notify us in advance if you are traveling with a service animal.

Pet Policy

  • Non-refundable pet fee: $49 per day (maximum of two pets, covers deep cleaning services).

  • Pets are not permitted in the Presidential Suite.

  • Due to health regulations, pets (excluding ADA service dogs) are not allowed in hotel restaurants, The Club, pools, or spa.

  • Local regulations require dogs to remain on a leash at all times while on property.

  • Guests are responsible for any damages or repairs caused by their pet.

Housekeeping Guidelines

  • If leaving your pet unattended, please place the “Dog in Room” sign (provided in your welcome package) on the door.

  • Call us at dial 0 when you would like housekeeping service.

The Club is a vibrant community dedicated to wellness, recreation, and active living. Guests ages 16 and older can enjoy the Fitness Center, Outdoor Fitness Pavilion, and specialized Group Exercise and In-Cycling Studios—all featuring state-of-the-art equipment designed for real-life performance and guided by certified trainers committed to your well-being.

The Spa at the Claremont is located on the Spa Level of the hotel. Take the main elevator or staircase to find the Spa Boutique and full spa facilities. For hours, service menus, and additional details, please visit The Spa at the Claremont page.

While we do not provide shuttle service, our concierge team will be delighted to assist you in arranging transportation.

Claremont Club & Spa offers secure, gate-controlled on-site parking for your convenience.

  • Complimentary Parking: First 15 minutes free

  • Overnight Parking:

    • Self-parking: $35 per night, per car

    • Valet parking: $55 per night, per car

  • Day Parking: Starting at $10 per hour, with a daily maximum of $50

    • Limewood Restaurant guests: 2 hours complimentary with meal

    • Spa patrons: 4 hours complimentary with service

    • Valet parking available for day use: additional $10 per car

Oakland International Airport (OAK) is located 14 miles from Claremont Resort & Club. Travel time by car is approximately 23 minutes.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located 25 miles from Claremont Resort & Club. Travel time by car is approximately 32 minutes.

ADA-trained service dogs are always welcome at Claremont Club & Spa at no additional cost. We kindly ask that you notify the hotel in advance of your stay. In accordance with California ADA guidelines, trained service dogs and trained psychiatric service dogs are permitted in all public spaces; emotional support animals are not included under this policy.

Our hotel is a smoke-free property, with designated outdoor areas available for smoking. Please note that vaping is not permitted indoors.

Our Business Center is open 24 hours and features three (3) HP all-in-one desktops with mouse and keyboard, one (1) HP printer, one (1) HP scanner, and one (1) single line phone line. It also includes an ATM machine.

Same-day laundry and dry-cleaning service is available Monday through Saturday. Simply leave items at the Bell Desk by 9:00am or request pickup by calling extension 133. Freshly cleaned items will be delivered to your room by 7:00pm the same evening. Laundry bags and slips are provided in your guest room closet for convenience.

Our Bell and Door Staff are available 24 hours a day to assist with porterage and luggage storage, ensuring your stay is as seamless as possible.

Home to the East Bay’s only Les Clefs d’Or concierge, our Concierge team is here to ensure every detail of your visit is exceptional. From personalized itineraries to unforgettable local experiences, we’re delighted to assist in planning your perfect stay.

Preserving the Past and Enhancing the Experience

We’re pleased to share that our exterior restoration project has entered its second phase, a thoughtful effort to preserve the timeless beauty of our 110-year-old historic resort while continuing to elevate the guest experience.

The work will take place through summer 2025, with restoration moving through different sections of the property during this time.

Some room views may be slightly impacted by scaffolding, and light noise may occur Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm . No work will take place after hours or on weekends to ensure a more peaceful stay.
